Fritz Polzer was born in Heidelberg where he graduated from high school. He then studied politics in Great Britain and France before working in fashion publishing in Paris and London. Fritz's entry into the medium of the moving image was made through cinema, notably documentary film. He studied at the National Film School with Kim Longinotto with an emphasis on "observational filmmaking”. Fritz’s practice is rooted in moving image but remains open to all media depending on the subject and form of his current artistic research. He lives between London and Berlin and is currently attending the Eli Cortiñas / Candice Breitz class at the Braunschweig University of Art.
